Alasdair graduated MA Industrial Design Engineering at the Royal College of Art in 1999.
Following this he worked within London consultancies as a designer / engineer on a wide range of projects from medical to aeronautical and consumer goods.
From 2003 he was lead designer at Samsung Mobile Europe, then specialist designer and later senior manager at Nokia.
2016 he joined Microsoft responsible for their windows phone advanced design.
As well as delivering over 20 products to market he led the advanced design team's approach in stream lining innovation and technology into Nokia and Microsoft's mobile products
From 2016-18 he headed the cross discipline, global design team at HMD Global, responsible for building on the heritage of Nokia’s mobile devices design and maintaining its brand value.
Within those 2 years, Nokia recieved over 50 awards for its products and design.
