Emergency Temporary Toilet
According to Doctors Without Borders, war and persecution have forced 39 million people into disease-infested refugee camps. Large numbers are crowded into areas without running water or enough toilets. Trench latrines serve as many as 500 people, and they are frequently broken and unsanitary through overuse. In addition, rain causes the latrines to overflow. This poor sanitation hastens the spread of dysentery, cholera, and other diseases that are major causes of death in these situations. A folding and disposable corrugated cardboard toilet that solved these problems would save lives.
